I finali watched Spiderwick Chronicles today!

It's a v.magical show, wif spirits, goblins, orges etc. A family moved into an old n deserted hse to find a book written by their great grand uncle about the world of d supernatural. Wat they din noe was tt dis book contained d deepest secrets of d world beyond n d bad guys wld do nitg to get it. Nice show but I tink some parts r a little too scary for kiddos leh..

My supposedly light din last nite turned out to be v.not light. Went to C.Nai cafe at ECP cos we kinda ran outta ideas for meals alrd :P




Hahaa, little ant..I still wanted to intro this pl to u leh :P But u beat me to blogging abt it :P If u tink d yuan yang is not nice, pls don even try d mango pomelo tgy..it totali sux =/ Food was reali good tho! D xo carrot cake, sour n spicy soup, esp d beef brisket noodie..yumi!! D maggi mee was quite normal. Walked ard d park for awhile den homie to watch CSI n eat tawbellies :D :D So pwettieeee!!! :D

Ntg makes me happier dan spending time wif little boy :) Okie, nw for d final part of my China trip. Hopefuli I'll b done by 1am cos I'm reali tired n wana slp slp le -.-zzz

Day 6: Shanghai

Went to 同仁堂 for a foot massage wif some herbal mixture..

Dey introduced some chinese med to us n even had chinese physicians gif us some free check up. Lunchie dere after d talk. To 宋庆玲's tomb next..

She was d wife of Sun Yat Sun. It was said that when she was alive, she spent all her time wif her husband's family so when she passed away, she wanted to be buried with her parents. We saw d tombs of the 3 of them, plus her maid who served her for many many yrs and their rship was as close as real sisters. After tt was shopping at Nanjing Rd..

Dere were 3 streets but we could only cover 1 :( Stuff dere r real cheap, esp d winter wear. Wen it turned dark n all d neon lights were lit, d streets looked gorgeous :) Dinnie on a dragon boat after tt..


We were served xiao long bao but they tasted v.yucky =/ I was v.disappointed n thot Sg's xiao long baos were nicer dan d Shanghai 1s :( Last stop of d day was 新天地. I stayed in d bus cos it was too cold for me to go walk wif them.

Day 7: Shanghai

I went dwn for breakie n bumped into Lk! He was staying in d same hotel as me :P It was a nice coincidence to bump into an old frd a quarter way ard d world :)

D last 2 days were free n easy for us but we chose to follow d tour coach for shopping. Dey brot us to 七宝古镇 early in d morn..

Old school streets - Shanghai is full of such shopping places :P Even d entrance n surroundings r so nice :) We found many yumi snacks! :D :D Small fishie intro-ed us to dis tang yuan tgy..

Reali good! D skin is v.chewy n fillings r not v.sweet :) Dey even had rice wine soupie base - perfect for cold weather like dis :D 4 of us had 5 bowls altgt, we tried almst e'flavor dey had :P Nxt was xiao long bao!!! :D

Unlike d 1s we had d prev nite, dis 1 was yumi!! :D Skin soft n elastic, d meat filling sweet n jus oozing wif soupie :) We swallowed 2 each in 1 min :P If u guys ever go dere, u've got to try it. Sighs, looking at d pic nw makes mi hungry :( D gluttie rice hu lu tgy was nt v.nice tho; d rice no taste n skin v.hard #.-

Ntg much to buy dere so I took photies instd :D

Nxt was 龙华广场, a wholesale imitation goods warehouse..

I din buy much dere cos hmm, I still prefer d real stuff :P But ya, canot afford la so dec'd not to buy altgt :P 3rd n final shopping pl was at Central Shanghai where most of d big malls (Raffles City, 新世界 etc) were. Dey r all more or less linked by d undergrd subway walkway..

Found more yumi treats :D Reali gd eggie tarts tt we wanted 2 bring back to Sg but forgot n pan fried xiao long bao which had a non-stop queue..

Spotted 2 limos!! Frm d deco on them, we reckon they were for some lucky couple's wedding :)

Dinner was at a cafe at Raffles City den back to hotel after tt. I reali liked d nite scenery of Shanghai, no matter which part I was at.

Day 8: Shanghai

We were on our own on d last day. Went out ard 10am, found our way to Raffles City again.

While we were happily eating lunchie at d foodcourt, my auntie sudd exclaimed, "eyy!! We r supp to chk out 1 room by 12pm hor?!??" We had 2 rooms but onli extended 1 room to 6pm cos we still needed to go back to pack stuff b4 our flight at 11pm. N we had totali 4gotten abt chkg out d otr room! So we swallowed our food n rushed back to d hotel :P Luckily dey still let us chk out despite being half hr late. After etg was settled, we went to their biggest bookshop which had 7 levels!

But hmm, ntg much dere oso cos it was 6 storeys of chinese books -.-''' Giraffe shd go, it's her playground :P I onli managed to buy a cute comic book after walking for 45 mins =/ It was drizzling by d time we left d bookstore n we walked to Raffles City again. I led d way n hehee, we din get lost!! It was nt v.near hor :P So proud of myself! :D Found Coffee Bean on d way n we stopped for pipping hot coffee n deeelicious cakies :)

Spent anor few hundreds shopping, dinnie den back to hotel to squeeze etg into our luggies :P Waited for d coach to send us to d airport for our flight back to Sg. I rem on my way to d airport, as I was looking at d dark streets, I was tinking..

For 24+ yrs of my life, I've travelled quite a lot. Not once haf I ever missed home n wanted so much to come back even tho I was hafg fun. But dis time, I reali wanted to come home cos I noe dere's sm1 waiting for me. N I reali wanted to see him too. It was den I realized hw much little boy has changed my life n I'm nw not onli living for myself but oso for him. Wif him by my side, I'll let him take care of me. Wifout him, I'll take care of myself so tt I can live a long hapi life wif him.. :)

N wif tt thot, it was d end of my eventful 8 days trippie in China (: Hope u guys njoyed reading abt it as much as I did experiencing n recounting it :) Nites little 1s n haf a nice week ahead :)

Warning: Long long post!!!

Aloooha peepies! It's a cloudy Sat afternoon n I'm feeling so lazy after eating so much since ytd. I tink I've regained 2x d weight I lost in China :'( Went JE Mackie for breakie dis morn cos I needed to go settle some bank stuff. Mac has a new burgie!! Called McGriddles :D



It's actuali sausie muffie wif hotcakes instd of d usual muffie. I tink dey drenched d hotcakes wif honey cos it was v.swt =/ Otr dan tt, it tasted like d normal muffie. Went 2 watch Semi Pro after tt. If u guys wana date a ger n impress her by saying u booked d whole theatre but in actual fact did not, I suggest u go to Lido Jurong on a Sat morn. It's d most likely u get to pull it off dere. 2dae is d 3rd time I went dere n d whole theatre was empty!

D starting of d show was quite boring but it got interesting in d middle. Down n out team having a 1 n onli chance to try to make it to d NBA n they got motivated 2 do their best. Hwever, jus b4 their last qualifying game, dey got news tt even if dey win, dey wun get to play in d NBA but still went ahead n did their best :) Worth a watch but prob nt on wkend la :P

Big boss was in a gd mood ytd n dec'd 2 gif us a lunchie treat. So all 6 of us (cos d otr 4 r on overseas trips) trottled to Four Seasons hotel for ala carte buffet (:

Similar to RSVP at The Crown, u haf 2 order a main frm d kitchen n d buffet was appetizers n dessies. $48++ for main wif buffet, $38 for jus buffet. D mains mostly cost $30+ so we reali don c d pt of getting jus d buffet, plus d selection wasnt v.great -.-



D onli tg I liked frm d buffet was d bread n cheeses!! I had a craving a few days ago n was wondering where I cld go to sample small servings of diff types of cheeses n ta-dah!! :D Happiness *beams* Besides tt, ntg else caught my tastebuds' attention. N d dessies were v.not nice #.- Most of them had d cod fishie n I had d duck leg confit wif spiced foie gras as mains..


I've reali nv eaten such terrible foie gras b4. It was totali bitter!! Where got foie gras taste so bitter 1?!?!? I onli took a bite n had a tummy upset for d whole afternoon *sulks* But dono was it cos of crampies or d liver la.

After hearing mi complain abt it for d whole afternoon, my sweet little boy said he'll bring me back to Sage for dinnie :D Either he's reali such a dear or he was tired of my sulking n hoped d nice foie gras dere will shut me up :P

Even tho dey took almst 40 mins to serve our mains, I muz say d service n food here is excellent. Our cameras r nt tt fantastic so d pics don do justice 2 d quality of food. Dey reali pay attention to e'detail of each dish - like d potato accompanying his steak, it was nt ur normal mashed or baked potato. I dono hw dey did it but it was wonderfully fragrant n chewy. Totali delicious. He felt tt my fish was a little overcooked but it was oki to me n d foie gras, still as gd as b4. N dey alwys gif u a complimentary appetizer. Tho d price is on d steep side, it's a nice pl to go if u wana pamper urself but muz mk booking 1st hor, esp on wkends. We almst din haf a seat last nite -.-'''

We din haf dessies n red wine cos I wanted 2 go dwnstairs for cakies n ice wine at Canele :)

But guess wat! Dey do not serve alcohol!!!! !%$$#^$*&* I was sulking d whole time while sipping my tea n little boy dec'd to try to b funi =/

D green tea cakie was nice! Light n fluffy, it's not too much 2 munch on after a heavy meal :) Little boy had d chocolate 1, which was too too sweet for me #.- I onli took 1 bite. D teas were not bad :) But I tink my chamomile tea was too relaxing n I fell aslp on our way hm -.-zzz

Oki, will cont wif day 5 of my trippie nw (: Last 3 days will b lumped tgt (prob tmr) cos dere werent many activities d last few days except for shopping :P Haf a nice wkend little 1s! :)

Day 5: Wuxi - Shanghai

Breathing fresh air n looking at pretty landscapes is a good way of starting a brand new day :) We were brot to 梨园, a beautiful garden where 1 of d great beauties of ancient China, 西施, resided.


Not v.clear but tt's d statue of 西施 at d back :)

I reali dono hw dey preserve dese gardens so beautifully, even after such a long time..

To a pearl factory n lunchie nxt. Travelled back to Shanghai after tt. Visited Madame Tussauds wax museum 1st..

Dinnie, den to 东方明珠 - d highest building in Asia..

To 黄浦江 for a nite boat ride after tt but it was too cold for me to go to d upper open air deck to walk walk so no pics :P Small fishie said it's abt d same view as wat we saw frm 东方明珠, so I din miss much. Tt marked d end of day 5. Stay tuned for d final instalment ツ
