Hapi bdae, dee deeeee!!! :D
Batam was quite boring -.-''' Nonetheless, it was a gd experience. Rem d last time I went dere was like 10+ yrs ago? D island was so run dwn den but nw, it's a great big improvement (: We had 2 wakie at 6am on a SUNDAY morny 2 go HarborFront 4 d ferry ride. I was practially slp-walking dere =/ Had Mac breakie den went up 2 wait 2 board d ship..

We finali reached Batam!!
1st stop was a shop where dey sell all deir keropok n crackers stuff den to a supposedly quite famous chinese temple..
Dere was dis small food stall where dere's home made sun kuays n otr kuay type tgy. Nice nice! :) After tt was a dry market where u can buy salted fishies n dried foodstuff. Along d way, our bean oil told us to look out n we saw...
Dese r actuali illegal shelters whereby illegal immigrants who r reali poor, dey haf no $$ 2 buy house or nitg so dey can onli get a few planks n build a make shift hse wif basicali jus a roof 2 cover deir heads. Hwever, wen dere's a fire, d whole pl will b burnt 2 d ground in a matter of mins, which has happened a few x b4 ): Mks u tink of hw lucky we r, doesnt it?
Lunchie was at dis kampong-like restaurant called Golden Prawn 555..

Lunch kinda sux. Dere wasnt a single dish tt I liked @.- Dere were fish, sotong, kangkong, gong gong, crabbie n prawnie..but smhw, none of it tasted gd =/
I ordered a coconut n I was served d big brown tgy on d left side. I thot it was a pumkin -.-'''' N d rest got d green 1, equally huge n looked like a watermelon -.#
More pictys ard d restaurant after mum muming. I tink d onli tg tt's nice abt dis restaurant was d view :P Tree trunk said she looks like a giant bs me :D
Nxt was shopping! We saw dis many of dis mini-van tgy on d roads n d bean oil told us det r actuali buses! Each 1 cld onli take abt 5 ppl but dey usuali squeeze as many as dey can, smtimes even up to abt 10! N d funniest tg is dere r no busstops at Batam - if u wana alight, jus tell d driver, if u wana board, jus wave n d bus will stop 4 u!
D traffic over dere was horrendous! He oso told us tt d zebra crossings r nt 4 human, onli 4 zebras :P cos dey don work at all. D cars wun bother abt d lines n will jus dash across even wen dere's sm1 crossing -.-''' We went to 3 big malls but all of them were so boring =/
D onli tg we managed 2 get were donies :P I wanted my Krispy Kreme donies (which r supp 2 b reeeeaaliii good) but dear later told me dey r onli avail in Jakarta :'(
Dis 1 wasnt 2 bad either. D bread was reali soft but d fillings were waayyy too sweet @.- We got a couple of boxes back 2 Sg :) Dey had quite a nice display but d staff forbade me 2 take pictys ):
Ohoh! We had A&W too! :D It's apparently quite common dere - 2 of d 3 malls we went had it :) I had my corny doggie n curly fries n shared a root beer wif dear (: So nw I noe, if I haf a craving 4 A&W, all I haf 2 do is 2 mk little boy take a 1 hr ferry dere 2 get it 4 me :D Wahahaha!! :P
After tt was home swt home le. D ride back was terrible =/ As it was dark alrd, d ship sailed quite slowly n in addition 2 d choppy waters.. ~@##%^~!$ Had a quick dinnie at HarborFront n den went homie 2 rest rest le.
Poor little boy was so tired ): He had 2 work late d nite b4 n still insisted on wakin up at 6am n acc me on dis trip :) Tks honey *muacks*
Sighs, dere goes d wkend n it's Mon all over again *sulks* Janet's on leave til Thurs ): N I'm jus crossing my fingies + toies tt dese 3 days will b peaceful 4 me til she gets back :(
